She turns her head ever so slightly to glance at Kitt. The longer Bonnie dwelt upon her mistake, the funnier it almost seemed. "Yeah. I did." She confesses, her tone tainted half with amusement and half with bitter disappointment in herself.
"Devon was in absolute horror and he raced to put out the blazing inferno. Wilton, he moved to turn off the torch and then he pulled me away from the flames," she recalls. "To my amazement Wilton found my mishap quite entertaining. He said it was the most excitment he has had since before my father passed." With this, she turns further to face Kitt.
"Devon... well, he was furious with me. In fact, he was seething enough that I could practically envision smoke coming out of his ears."
"Wilton spoke in my defense. Saying that 'I was my father's daughter'. My clumsiness was just a result of over-active nerves. He saw right through me..." She adds.
Then with a half smile she continued, "so you see, Kitt. I'm not perfect. I too make big mistakes. Had it not been for second chances, I wouldn't be your mechanic...."
